Southern Dusky Salamander - This salamander is deep brown, almost black on its head and upper sides, and is bluish-gray on its lower sides. It has short stout legs and seldom grows beyond 4 inches long. The Southern Dusky Salamander can be found under logs and bark, and beside swamp streams and springs.
